Bad King John
(Last Workshop: July-August 2008, Dorothy Somerset Studio Theatre, UBC)
Bad King John is an experimental re-imagining of Shakespeare’s The life and death of King John, based on an original adaptation by Neil Freeman, Professor Emeritus in UBC’s Department of Theatre & Film and an internationally acclaimed authority on Shakespeare.
Bad King John is an exploration into crowds and power, and the personal and political consequences we share as a result of corruption within our leaders.
